I have 60 years of tools. Tamper proof , torx, inverted torx etc. Can I tighten these? Yes but the question remains. What the heck are these?

I don't think its a tamper proof screw, why would a trailer manufacture bother? That costs extra bucks.

Those have been out for years. I've seen those star screws used on few things over the years. You can buy the bits for them practically anywhere.

That would be Torx drive. Polydrive/Ribe is different- subtle, but different enough that they won't interchange.

Sometimes, just a square drive bit fits in alot of trailer screws that resemble torx-type screws. I have to remove them fairly frequently for my wrap work. -give one a try?
