old Dodge, new problems

Hello fellow Mopar owners. My car is a 1974 Swinger. Anyone have past starting issues with the 1974 starter interlock system? My Dart used to start in neutral, the connection under the seat is disabled, but now no buzz, no click, nothing.

the neutral safety switch has the detent positions that completes the starter circuit based on position.
If you have messed with that lately it's probably the culprit. I believe the plug can even be put on backwards if i remember right.

probably the issue since you mention you already unplugged the seat lock.

unless of course your battery connection is sloppy. I remember grabbing an old battery out of whatever at one point, and the terminals were just undersized enough where it created connection issues.

In addition to the above, completely bypass the interlock. Look under the hood for the reset. This is a box about size of a horn relay with a reset button. There is two "yellowish" wires going to that connector. Permanently jumper those two wires together. That box "breaks" the starter circuit.
