When I was alot younger I used hush thrush mufflers. Do any of you use those? I thought about trying them on my 65 Barracuda with a 273 in it. Any ideas.
Thanks

they make thrush hush mufflers now. Im thinking due to the design they would be quieter than the normal thrush turbo muffler.

Thrush, even back then, used to be some of the cheapest crap on the planet. (Maremont) Cherry bombs were MUCH more heavily built and better quality.

One of my favorite true stories is I had ORIGINAL replacement Maremont/ Walker "turbo mufflers" and BY THAT I do mean exact replacement Corvair turbo mufflers on my old Landcruiser. Someone I know proudly dragged in his Thrush backflow mufflers. I dragged out a stock Maremont turbo, and held his Thrush out on one arm with my arm extended, and told him to try that with the Maremont. He was no weaky, and could not do it.

I'll bet the Maremont replacement was THREE times heavier than the Thrush.

Junk. pure junk. If you like replacing a lot of mufflers, use 'em

I have a brand new set stashed 55$ and the ride if ya want em
