I’m looking for any info on the MP roller cam part number;
P4529987? The 9:90 or quicker bracket cam.

Only thing I could find
Hope it helps

No one could tell the OP more than he already knew

265/275 @ .050 .640 lift and 104 lc

that is all i can find...

Thanks guys. I guess I’ll give Comp Cams a call on Monday.

Some basics of cam design make me think of this cam as one cut for high torque ( power coming off a corner in oval track racing is extremely important) and a large cubic inch motor.

From the 96 MP catalog. 300 advertised intake 306 ad exhaust, 266 int 272 ex @.050, .43" lobe lift in and ex., .645 valve lift, .032 lash 104 c-line install at 104.

Do you not like the MP grind?

I just wouldn't lash it looser than .021-.022 hot.
I’m asking because I could not find any info on it.

Thanks for the lash tip.

I see Dartfever has the book! What book is that in?
Thanks.

MPoffical, thanks for beating the books and presto! An internet page with one for sale????? Holy Moly!!!!

Greg, it is also the cam MP recommend for the 9:90 & quicker bracket. I’m down to cam, rockers, springs & carb for the engine.
Converter, wheels and slicks plus a cage with “other” body work.
(A zero rush project.)

Found it in the 1996 Mopar Performance catalog
DANG! It gave that one away years ago.
Well, at least it went into good hands. A budding young MoPar man! Lost his mind with the “Tips” section.
Thanks again!

Now, who cut these cams back in the day?

Crane? That’s what I believe.

Pretty sure it was crane. I know the original R/T cam they were selling for the magnum engines was/is a crane grind. powermax 2030 IIRC. So I would assume they did their other grinds too.

MoPar's published specs are always random numbers, best to have it "Cam Doctored" by Oregon Cams or someone who can give you a printed-out analysis. I saw these cams on Ebay and figured someone was in for a Columbo phase prior to degree-ing them, etc. :)
