Opinions on TTi Exhaust systems (not headers)?

I am purchasing small block TTi headers for my project and was considering their 3" exhaust system as well since I felt it would be complimentary to their headers, but couldn't find any sound clips online. Wondered if anyone here had used their exhaust systems and what the sound was like. I can order with and without mufflers, so if their Dynomax mufflers are not sounding good I could replace with something else. I can also take it to my local guy and he can fab something complete end to end from scratch, but again, I feel like the TTi system might be "matched" better.

I just installed their 2 1/2 system with Dynomax on my '70 Dart last fall (exhaust manifolds) but haven't run it. It all fit nicely unless you want the tips exiting in the factory location. The exhaust shop wanted about the same price to make a system. I did run the engine on a test stand with the Dynomax mufflers. I thought that they were on the quiet side.

Listened to it again. Really like that sound. Was considering Flowmaster 44's but those 40's sound awesome. I wonder if I even need to go to 3" to get the sound I am looking for. Fitment would be easier with 2.5" but might sacrifice some HP.

I have stock manifolds (for now) and the TTI 2.5” system with the H-Pipe. I reused my Black Widow mufflers and used some Classic Industries 2.5” stock looking 71 Dart exhaust tips. Fit was excellent. No current video but it’s pretty loud and I’m not making much power with my 340.

I had TTi step headers and a full 3" system with their polished stainless tips on my 70 Dart with a 360. Very happy with the fit, the instructions, the performance and the sound. I went with the Dynomax mufflers if my memory is correct.

BTW, I had my 408 stroker built by TBS in your area.

Fully balanced and blueprinted.

Those guys are fabulous and really know Mopar engines!

2 1/2 inch H pipe system from TTI in my 64 Valiant. Good fit, easy install with a couple of adjustments and add in's to get dual pipes run.

Flowmax 40s. Same body length/inlet output as the ones TTI sells

3” is pretty big. What engine you have?

My experience with their exhaust is all good, good fit, quality is descent, good hangers. The success and fit of their exhaust is also dependant on the size of the dynomax they specified with it. If you change mufflers makes sure they are the same length and also inlet/outlet

I have 3 complete systems, with the Dynomax mufflers. Fairly quiet at low throttle and louder when you drop the hammer. I will buy another when I need one. You get what you pay for!

given the sound I heard in the clip above I am now leaning towards the 2.5" for the reasons I mentioned earlier...fitment mainly, and lower cost. Plus if the FM 40's sound like that then thats exactly what I am looking for.

I have a decently upgraded 360 I am dropping in it.

I have a 67 Dart GT convertible, so it won't be a daily driver. Sunny weekends only. I just liked the sound in the clip. I will be assessing other stuff as well. We'll see how it washes out.

I did the full system for my 340. Headers, x-pipe, 2.5" with UltraFlows. Still awesome after 16yrs.

I just installed a 2.5 H pipe system manifolds back on a '71 340 Demon. Had to cut 5 inches off of the rear of the mid pipes to get the mufflers to fit. The hangers did not line up with the seat belt bolts so I had to drill new holes. All joints done with band clamps.

In the end, I used a pair of universal hangers so that I could utilize the band clamps between the mufflers and tail pipes. All in all it went very smoothly and fit well.

Couldnt be happier with how it came out. I always think that getting something custom made for you will work out better than a generic kit made for more than one application. And the price was good too.
