Well I went and did it, traded in my black 04 Dodge ram 1500 SLT, 5.7 hemi quad cab, 4X4. It had 93000 miles on it. Box was rotting out, and rear bumper was rotting also. It had been a good truck, i bought it in 06,with 24000 on it.

I picked up a red 2015 Ram Express, 5.7 crew cab, 4X4 with 14500 miles on it. It dosn't have a ton of all them electronic gadgets, which is fine with me. Its a little better than a basic truck. Heres a couple pics. I got tired of black trucks, that was my 4th, so I got a different color.

That new one has the VVT 5.7 with 395 HP versus the 345 of the 2004 truck. Did you get the 8 speed trans? It is a good unit, it gets the truck moving quicker too.
93,000 miles is a lot to you?
That is kind of funny to me. My 2007 Ram has 294,000 on it and still looks decent. No rust problems out here though we have idiot Liberal politicians like you'd expect in California.
Nice choice on the color!

Is that DelMonaco red?
Congratulations

Rumble..... I'm not sure what red that is. I'm going to find out.
Dog..... Yes it has the 8 spd tranny. I've counted the shifts, on the way up to 60 mph, and its 8. This truck is a lot quicker than the 04 was. I like it. Dog.... thats a nice truck you have.

I kinda sorta did the same thing - my brand X DD pickup had 175000 on it and I needed a 3/4 ton 4x4 - - so I jumped off the deep end

I traded my 02 quadcab w/ 165,000 on it for a black ,2014 ram express standard cab shortbed. I drove the quadcab for 15 yrs w/ only a radiator replacement (ebay/($67.00) and front wheel bearings(easiest thing I `ve ever done to a truck), the quadcab had the original brake pads and rotors still on it ! It had an aluminum bumpers , no rust! The 2014 has a 305 h.p. v6, w/ 8 speed and will definitely outrun the 4.7 quadcab, and gets outstanding mileage. About the only thing I miss is power door locks, and may put them on it. I put box rails and a G2 flip back tonneu cover on it, with the locking tailgate, I`m very happy w/ it.

Congrats!

I did the same not long ago and am completely glad I did!
