Painted slot mags? and tire choice...

Hi all, I'm working on getting my Dart Sport back on the road, and while I'm not going for the 'pro touring 17"+ wheels' look, I'm looking for a more modern look of sorts. I have 14' slot mag wheels (Ansen?) and they look great, but a bit more old school than I was going for. But, i found this...

and am leaning more towards the second one. What do ya'll think?

Also, I don't plan on autox or anything like that, but what is the best 14' tire for handling that will fit underneath a stock Dart Sport and look decent?
 
For your car color, I kinda like the black. My car is black, so I want grey. I don't think I've ever seen slots painted, I rather like that look.
 
17+". It's not just a "look", its the only rim you can get decent tires for.
