Bought a rebuilt RV2 A/C compressor on eBay for my '67 cuda and, quite frankly, it looks like crap. I don't doubt it was rebuilt well it just looks so fricking ugly!

What's the best way to repaint it? I was thinking of covering up the crankshaft thingy that sticks out, slapping some paint remover all over the compressor, and repainting it. Are there any gasket that will be damaged if I do it that way? Anything I should be concerned with?

Thanks,
Rob

I bought one a few monthes ago its not pretty but I put some paint on it and it looks good. Check th gaskets to see if it has been apart. Mine was rebilt, good luck Tom

Thanks for your response Tom. I'm going to take the heads off and I'm going to paint it. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Thanks again,
Rob

Sand it down.
Paint it gloss black.
Cover it in clear.
Stand back and admire!
