painting a vinyl top?

I have a white vinyl top on my 74 dart that id like to paint black but I don't want it flaking off after a couple years. Any advice or techniques I should know? What's the right way to do this?

That's the best way. If you're not ready to replace the top you can dye it. Like they say, the success is in the preparation. VHT has been around for decades and has quality products that work well. tmm

I think SEM has a paint that you can use on it. Call the local paint or Napa store.

The SEM brand works well. As ToolmanMike says- prep is everything.
