Well I just cleaned my 3 row rad and its ready for high temp paint. Is it good or bad to paint the fins and coolant tubs.I have in the past and always thought that maybe the paint is keeping the heat for geting out some.never had any issues of overheating this is just a thought. What have you guys or gals done pain or not :cheers:PS why is the top tank bigger than the bottom.

Enough coats of paint can restrict the air flow. A a light coat to black it out wont hurt it.

Yes certain paints could retain heat. I used eastwoods, radiator black, supposedly, heat dissapation formula. hardly took half a can, good stuff, and you`ll have some left for touchups.

Just remember, when it comes to paint "You get what you pay for"

I'm sorry Snake, I just couldn't resist
