Hello,

I am having a bit of trouble that I could not find any existing messages about. I was hoping someone had already dealt with this and could point me down the easy path. As opposed to tracing wires all over the place.

Here is the issue: my drivers side front blinker works perfectly normal, at all times. The only problem is, when the parking/head lights are on you can't see it blink. The park filament does not disengage when the blinker is on, so it overpowers the turn signal. The passenger side is fine. I even switch out the lamp assemblies to the connector to check that and the driver side functioned the same.

Does anyone know where the signal to depower the parking light when the turn signal is engaged comes from?

Thanks

First thing to check is that the socket is grounded and that the bulb is OK and is the correct bulb

You have two separate circuits there

One wire feeding the turn and tail lamp sockets is hot in park and headlamp for the park / tail. That feeds a low power filament in the park / turn bulb

A larger filament is fed by the turn circuit.
