If you get this email, paypal advises it be forwarded to [email protected], then permanently deleted. Also change password and security question on paypal account.

Spinman

I don't know whether "they" do anything, there used to be a procedure on their website to forward scam emails to them for investigation

I got one of those years ago...WTF do they care what your account activity looks like? ALWAYS log into Paypal though the normal Paypal URL, NEVER follow a click through link.

I just want to clarify the point that spinman1949 was making. If you get an email like this and you click on the link that says "PayPal" it does NOT take you to PayPal, it takes you to the fake site that was set up by the scammers. There you will part with your money and it's gone forever.

When or if you get an email from PayPal, you will be instructed to go directly to PayPal.com in order to update, etc.

PayPal ALWAYS addresses you by your real name. Anything other than that is a fake from someone trying to slyly heist your info.
