I picked up an 81 904 to build for my 67 Dart. I like the improvements they made to the 904 in these years, and the one I picked up when checked on the serial number says heavy duty as well. I'm assuming just because of the 5 clutches and steel planetaries, but who knows.
My question is, should I just disable the lock up valve, or is it possible to get a converter with say a 25-2800 stall? If I disable the Lock Up valve, could I just use a non Lock Up converter?
I should also say, that I'm planning on building this as a manual shift if that makes any difference to the questions.
Thanks!
