well i picked up a 440 for my stroker project today from a buddy....he wanted some wheels i had and i needed a block so the deal was done and now i have to have it soniced and go from there i hope al is well....the block as far as i can tell is stander and never been bored cast flat pistons with 2 small cuts on the side..theres no #'s on the top of the pistons are on the sides as far as i can see so hope all turns out good for me....after the sonic if thats good (bob) i will do the oil mods and whatever else needs done like the tall fill and so on...i think i got a good idea on the pistons to use so i want have to get custom made but will see on that...anyway here is a run down on the motor if all go well..

440/bore???
stroke 4.250 or 4.375
so thats 511 or 526
howards alum. 7.125 rods
diamond pistons with valves cut for 2.25 valves (around 13/15 comp)
440-1 heads flow 350
440-2 intake with 2" spacer to run doin. carb
little over 700 lift roller cam
roller lifters
cross bolt mains if the shop can handle it if not alum. mains
hope i can find some e85 local to run this thing on then it will be 15.1 comp
the block is a 75

so lets here the thoughts on this build guys :axe:

15:1 is a stretch even with E-85.
Maybe with aluminum heads, but that's still stretching it......

i have alum. heads but we'll see nothing less then 13.1 :thumrigh:
