Sorry, not an A body, but still a Mopar. I've been selling stuff like crazy around here just to get this home. A friend owned it, I asked if it was for sale - it wasn't - but he came up with a price and I gave it to him.

'62 Chrysler Windsor

361, pushbutton, front disc conversion. Everything works. Drives beautifully. I couldn't be happier.

Agree that is one Mopar that owns any road it travels, congratulations on finding that one, well cared-for.

Congratulations :thumbsup::thumbsup:
This was the last year for the Windsor name in 1962 :)

Excellent!!
A few years ago, I went into Faxon Auto Literature to buy service manuals for my Duster and Polara. They had an entire '62 Windsor dash with gauges above the service window! It was one of their "Can you identify make, model, and year?" objects in the reception area.

What a car!!!
Congrats. That thing is a stunner.

That is a great looking car
AND on a side note, it reminds me of one of my favorite spirituals...ship ahoy

Actually Mike, the Windsor name continued on in Canada well into the late '60s.
Yes, well in to the early 60's , here is a quote from Wiki on the Windsor I I looked up
The Windsor was positioned above the entry-level Royal from 1939 to 1950. With the demise of the Royal for the 1951 model year the Windsor became Chrysler's price leader through to 1960. For the 1961 model year the Chrysler Newport was made the marque's price leader with the Windsor positioned one level above the Newport. Chrysler replaced the Windsor name in 1962 with the introduction of the non-lettered series

In the US, yes. But in Canada the Windsor name continued on until 1966. It was basically the same as a Newport.

Say, 20 years ago you probably would not catch me "dead" in one, now I'd be proud to sit/ ride drive one!!! Cool car!! Weird how "getting old" changes things.............
