Recently, I posted a picture from not to far from where I live and was told by a member that they like seeing other places that people live. Well that gave me an idea for this thread. So here are a few rules for your pictures.
1. These are NOT auto related pics
2. These are pics that you or someone close to you took
3. Please atleast post the state that they were taken
Thats pretty much it.

These are were taken in No. Utah.

This is a little Cafe out in Snowville. I think it would be a fun place for the local car guys to cruise out to. It's about 60 miles from here.

Here is one of my back yard (Cooperstown, NY) this spring when it rained quite a bit and the stream came up. Then my dog, Hemi, and my daughter, Cadence, thinking they had a water slide:

Fun at the Coeur d Alene beach I can no longer worry about "prop blur" because of my health problems. This was taken with an old lens that the seller thought he "screwed me" as it does not focus correctly. Fortunately, my 7D has a focus adjustment in the menu. Canon EF 300mm f2.8, taken about f4.5 with the shutter speed against the stop

Sunset taken on the "Rathdrum Prairie" with a modified Canon FL 19mm which was orignialy for the old film cameras. Complete tear down and lathe work is required to adapt it for use on newer Canon EF mount film/ DSLR bodies

Another sunset taken at the far east end of Lake Coeur d Alene, I believe I had the 40D then. Taken with an old Olympus manual lens adapted to the Canon with an import adapter ring

This was taken with a Tamron "Adaptall-2" lens, another old manual piece, forgotten which camera body. May have been my old Xt/ 350D Canon, E of Coeur d Alene I believe in early EARLY spring

Touchdown....taken on the Spokane River along "the dike" near N. Idaho College. I believe this was my old Xt/ 350D body, the then new Canon EF 100-400 IS lens

Very nice pics, all of you. Most I take are from a Blackberry so they suck, but you may get the idea:

Our place up in the local mountains..well for that week at least...We got a lot of snow last year.

Sometimes work gets me to the strand....Long Beach, CA.
IMG00084-20110119-1746.jpg

Other times it gets me to less friendly places.....
IMAG0003.JPG

But I always got this to go home to...Newport Beach, about 10 minutes down the freeway, and another 20 minutes to find a parking spot.

Great pictures! Here are some from a road trip the wife and i took in western MA and Vermont.

Here are a few to put things into perspective. The first 3 are from almost the same spot with about 15 minutes between each one and were taken at 1600 (thats 4p.m. if you don't know military time) which is usually bright as heck out then. Number 4 and 5 are one of Saddam's Palaces and one of the dams both on the Euphrates River. Number 6 is children playing soccer in an open lot, one of the cleanest I have seen by the way. Number 7 and 8 were taken on 4th of July. These are a pair of dual VBIEDs (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices), they were not functioned as designed we blew them up using very small (less then a pound) charges utilizing water to do the destruction. They were parked right outside a carnaval in down town. The last one represents the youth of Iraq, they are very similar to the youth of the US or Canada. When your children see an Army man what do they want to do? Wave. I wave at around 20-40 children everytime I go out. Yesterday was the same as always, they just want you to wave back, it really makes their day. Just thought I would let you guys see what I do everyday. All were taken between June 25 and July 15th. I have around 4000 more pics that I have taken since I got here also.

I took everyone of these yesterday. The ones with the green/blue tint were taken through 4 inch thick multi-layer glass. That's why they are a little blurry as well. The others were taken from the gunners hatch which is where I normally ride. We changed it up on the way back and my team leader rode up there. Those were all taken from the middle of Baghdad.
