Has anyone used a 68 pitman and idler arm on thier early a-body to gain clearance on your oil pan. My pitman hits the driver side of my pan putting a nice dent in it...The 68 idler and pitman are a little longer. Will this screw up my steering or cause bump steer.

I thought about doing that on mine but it looks like it will hit the tti's. What pan are you using? I have an o.e. style milodon and I just ended up making some shims to space the motor up slightly. one quarter inch shim on top and bottom of the mount is what I made and still left me with plenty of thread to tighten the bolts up.

If you have a stock 63-66 pitman and idler and stock oil pan, isn't there some reason it's hitting??

A little longer pitman and idler aren't that big of a bump steer deal. The optional 70/71 T/A pitman and idlers are like an inch longer. And they released those on a production car.
