Planning A Tear Down-- GOT ANY ADVICE?

Well there has been a few who new i needed an early a k-member but i have had no luck procureing one. It seems as if the few places near where i live that had one on a pic-n-pull basis are complete idiots and would not know a k-member and there "below the waist member".
My valiant is down over the breaks again and as much as it pains me for i drive it normaly every day. I just dont see spending good money restoreing old unworthy tecknology. I need to go to disk breaks. So this is what i will do. However going down that far there is a host of things that i should take cair of while im at it. Ahhh yes the k-member is one, but i am not as pressed for a donor now the car is unsafe to drive. I will just take mine out and have it done. Has anyone experienced a lack of responce to these aftermarket companies with inquireing about products? As of late they wont speak. So where can i get the most complete kit other than the k,member wither tubular a-arms,any bushing mounts, body,mounts,everything. I will be takeing engine and k-member out and removeing most of the doghouse. (mine as well rust repair and prevent while i am at it, thinking on tufex everthing in the front) well other than needing a engine stand and a cable or chain hoist to get started. I will be looking for a virgin 225 head as well but then again im just gonna pull mine off and have it done. Any sugestions how and what to do to the head? My main objective is to harden valve seats so i can run modern gas and ad oil journals cause i have a higher volume oil pump.
