Guys, my heads and other parts will all begin tricking in next week, and I will need to be getting to work on this...very soon. Well, I want to get to work. hehe

What I really want to hear are the different lobes you guys are running.
I saw another thread with some vids using MP cams. Don't know what the CIDs were on those, but I'm building a 4 incher here and would like to hear some 108-110 lobes so I know what idle quality to expect.

So please post up a vid, and cam specs.

I just want to get a better idea of how these run...and how much duration these motors are happy with. Maybe I'll want to go bigger than I think? I dunno.

Would be much appreciated....thanks!

Well i have been studying this for a while in my 427" project, I can tell you in my stock stroke 360 11.1 cr my cam is a comp 520/540 lift 244/252 @.050 solid flat tappet 110cl it has a noticeable lope but not to radical sounding. it depends what kind of cam your looking for hyd or solid or roller. my build would be a street 427" with drag strip a couple times a year for a solid FT i would go no smaller than 250 @050 hyd 244 @.050, not sure on the roller. remember when going from a hyd to solid add about 8 @.050 in duration to be = since the lash on a solid eats up some duration. So in other words a hyd with 240 duration and a solid with 248 will act about the same / same cly psi ect.. all things being =

yes I would be interested as well...I have a 252/258*duration @ .050 and a 576/576 lift hydraulic roller with 110 CL...I would like to hear how it would sound as Ive never heard it run....how different would it be if it had a 108 CL?

Well the smallest cam(Roller) I have put in my 4 inch stroke SB is [email protected] on a .450 lobe ground on a 108cl(425W5).It ran a best of 1.29 60ft 6.16@114 1/8 mile and 9.77@138 1/4 mile shifting at 7100rpm @3110lbs.

On my 440W8 motor is [email protected] on a .465 lobe ground on a 110cl time on my Sig.
