Post your Dash Pics

I just realized I never updated this thread since I got some of the upgrades done. It’s still not done and it’s not perfect but it’s better than it was.
The Mopar “M” is my high beam indicator.

Thanks guys. My AX-15 isn’t machined out for the speedometer gear and since our 200 has gps in it we never used the Garmin anymore so I decided to see what I came up with. The high beam indicator was just a brain fart I had one day so I decided to run with it!

The only down side is it sometimes takes the gps a little bit to find satellites to know where it’s at, when you start it up.

I use a GPS Speedo in mine.

I will say I experience the same thing. It doesn't read until after I leave the garage and you'll lose it in tunnels etc. Not a big deal but the first time it happens it freaks you out.

My original plan was to use a Garmin too. After seeing it, I wish I had. I just went with cheap Equus gauges and a Speedway motors electronic Speedo. I was torn between putting the tach in the dash or not. I chose not so maybe I'll regret that. I' just refinishing it now. It will stay black but may have a silver trim ring. Not sure yet.

This photo is before I broke it trying to enlarge the indicating light holes. I' almost back to there now.

I also decided to move the wiper switch. I feel it's better here.

I decided not to put my tach in the dash either. Here’s how I did mine.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry a lot about the tach. Once you buy a shift light you hardly use the tach anymore.

I put my tach on the dash where it is because every really cool car i have ever known personally had the tach there. I've had some with the column mounted tach and always hated that too. I just moved this one from the column.

Eye level make sense as far as function goes.

My 69 383S dash before and after,It's spray can and dyed pad, chrome penned and pre-cut wood grain overlay, I had already butchered it for a tape player 35 yrs ago, so I installed the CD. Still working on it.

Ready to go in. Not my best work, and I kinda hate the indicating lights I used. It will be nice to have all the gauges working. Also nice to have no gauges hanging off the bottom if the dash.

I've got Equus gauges too. Not the best quality but I liked their lettering font on the dials.
On your dash I would put the most important gauges near the speed gauge.
From left to right:
Fuel - Voltage - Watertemp - Speed - Oil pressure.

The huge lights need to be at least half their current size.

Yeah I had way smaller lights in there but I could only seem to find red. So I drilled them bigger and the next day I found Amber and clear in the smaller light. It will likely get redone next winter.

You can get the same look of gauges from the speed hut ones and customize them the way you want, look at their legacy ones. Just fyi

Here's mine from my 69 Vert. I redid. I also used the RTE voltage limiter.

New dash pad cover from Classic Industries. It was bright blue... I changed the color using Year One 1965 Mopar medium blue paint. I also cleaned it and used the prep before spraying it. Turned out really nice. I painted the dash frame with a basecoat clearcoat. Instead of the original blue, I picked a slightly darker color.
