Pissed off senior member.
I got the rebuild kit for my power steering pump, got the pump all apart, realized that it was going to be much easyer than I thought it would be, knocked out the old shaft bushing, went to install the new bushing....and mangeled the living **** out of it.
So the question of the day is, What do you use to pound the bushing in? A 5/8 socket fits the hole but the bushing is tapered on bolth ends so there isn't really any way to catch the socket on the edge of the bushing.
Im going to get another kit tomorrow (unless they sell just the bushing but I doubt it) the kit was only $15.00.
