i am getting a leak from my power steering,it looks like where my pitman arm bolts to the bottom of my power steering, i see it dripping from the bolt on the pitman arm, is there a seal up in there, if so whats it called and how hard is it to fix? thanks

I put a new seal in a dodge truck. It is a steering arm seal and it started leaking after
about an hour later. :wack:
That is how I found out The steering box was wore out .
But it can be fixed.I just replaced it with another used one. :-|

There will be someone that will show use what to do :toothy7: I am sure just give them time.

If I can remember correctly, it goes something like this. First go and buy a new seal. Take the pitman arm off and I think there's a seal retainer there. Remove the seal retainer. With the front end on jackstands, start the car and turn the wheel lock to lock, stopping for a few seconds at full lock each time. This should blow out the old seal. Its messy but the easiest way to get the old seal out. Put the new seal in, clean things up, and go and enjoy a cold one.
