ProForm 950 air bleeds (confirmation please?)

Is the distributor locked out or does it have a curve. Curved, my guess is that you don't have sufficient initial timing.

IFR: .032 moves to lower position
PVCR: start with the .063 untill main jetting is set for cruise
PV' 6.5 (high flow) and plug sec
Emulsions: top to bottom
.028, plug, plug, .028, plug
Jets pri/sec: Try out of box to start
Shooters: 35/35 (high flow screws) with blue pump cams, play with the position
IAB .071. MAB .029
Transfer slot restriction .078-.082 to start.
.110 N/S

Roger that, thank you !

And probably T slot restricters in the .027-.078 range.

What do you use for restricters ? Fastenal has brass 8/32 x 1/8 set screws for a buck 25, or I can buy 100ct on Ebag for $35, but I'm impatient. ..don't want to wait 4 days for shipping.

Ok, that should read .072-.078 and not what I posted. Evidently, I don't proof read.

I've been able to use 8/32 X 3/16 (I like a bit more length) but I've been told some main bodies are already too big to use the 8/32 screws. So then you use 10/32.

Also, if you need a bit more fuel than .078 you'll have to use 10/32 or you'll be drilling into the hex of the 8/32 screws.

IIRC I'm at .078 and I'm close. I may have to change mine over to 10/32. It may be worth it to just do 10/32 and then not have to do it over. I hate doing things twice.

Makes me kick the dogs and make the wife sleep on the couch.

I use 10-32 for the TS restrictors. 6-32 for the IFR. 8-32 is good for air bleeds on the old non adjustable holleys. All by 3/16 long.

LOL oh, you too ? :)
I averaged out your suggestion with others and landed on .076. We'll see what happens.

Those are one of those things that are getting into the fine tuning. I really think you would get your moneys worth investing in a a/f meter. You’d be surprised how much those little changes make. I love mine, it’s taught me a lot about carburators and tuning. My roadrunner has been a test mule for knowledge. I’ve had a lot of different set ups on it in the last 2 years. I finally started keeping track of my tunes on paper. Something I should have done from the beginning.
