Love the third pic, moved away from that.

First pic is available every day here.

Just served the fourth pic Monday to some visiting guests .

Thank GOD for the good times.

Hope you enjoy yourselves. If you leave a cruise ship be careful, taxi drivers rip you off.

I don’t understand how the water changes colors like that in the Caribbean but after driving to Key West, & sailing & swimming the Caribbean I can tell you it is enchanting, beautiful. The Gulf Stream current is warmer often than the beach water in the sun. Wonderful stuff.

Beautiful pics! Lion fish, arent they an invasive species? Didnt know u can eat them.
Poisonous I’ve heard, they eat everything. The meats not, I hope. Though I think I had an out of body experience after that meal.
Not really from the Caribbean, from the South Pacific. They are here now. Their delicious, flaky almost buttery.
The barrier reef off the coast stretches around 600 miles, and an abundance of sea creatures to eat.

Awesome pics. Hope ur having a good time. Kim
Yes it’s been a great experience, and still much more on the agenda, like visiting some Mayan ruins. Tulum is a bit over an hour down the road, and a day trip, and the other direction around Cancun I want to jump on the express ferry and island hop to Isla Mujeres for a day, and catch the sunset.
The people so far have been great here, super laid back, especially in Puerto Morelos a drinking village with a fishing problem.

That's a fabulous little town, we stay at a resort and walk down there for breakfast on the beach and eat at a restaurant called Pelicans. I recognized the picture of the leaning light house.

Damn that makes So. Cal residents jealous! Spent a week each in Mazatlan, Cabo and San Felipe (before the hotels were built) Tide would go out almost a mile where you could walk about the rocks and catch octopus or crabs. The tide came in just as fast so if you saw water rising, you had to stop looking and start waking..fast..Bahamas water was that color too. How? Philippines water: we didnt have a chance to see it shallow but it was warm and super salinated, get out and you'd air dry looking like a sugar cookie!

We must be the only ones jamming as people are dancing around our little Bose revolve speaker on the beach.

Kind of burnt up from yesterday
So put off diving till tomorrow.
Great breakfast to start our day.

This area of Mexico was only recently built up 50 years ago, so the Yucatán peninsula is mostly recent construction.
The Mayans have been here since before A.D
There’s around 12,000 ecological sights.
A lawyer from New York named Stevens around 1850 started a project to preserve this area and get the funding from Washington for it.
I saw some of his drawings as photography wasn’t happening. There exactly the same in Tulum.
I’d like to see Coba but I’ll probably save it for next year.

My birthday dinner yesterday
Started with a Mojito
Chipotle duck enchiladas with stir fry asparagus
Diane is having a lobster and steak special with mash taters and asparagus
We split a cauliflower soup with shrimp
Son of a ***** this place rocks
John Grays kitchen
He was the head chef at the Ritz Carlton in Cancun
Where he made a place called the Club Grille famous
Started this place in 2002
He decamped in 2013 and is the executive chef at the Hilton Worldwide in Panama.
Still consults on the menu and what’s available fresh as far as seafood and produce.
