Pulled the column apart and got this.

I didn't like the look of the column, it just didn't fit the style of my car any more.
I cut it apart, pulled the shaft out and bought a shaft mount from Joes.

I cut 3 inches off the factory shaft (to get behing the splines and roll pin hole) and added a 12 inch section for 8 more inches of length. Now the wheel and shifter are on the same plane.
