Okay well recently my fan broke into pieces uner the hood and only managed to damage the hood and mess up my power steering pully making it wobble pretty badly like a wheel falling off a wagon..
Now yesterday I took the power steering pump off to try straighten the pully some, it kinda worked but wobbled quite a bit still so I just shut the car off and I thought Id work with it more today...but when I started it and poped the hood, the pully was perfectly straight like nothing happend?.....I dunno..the car loves me?

I know when I put the power steering pump back on the car I tightend the belt as much as possible so maybe the belt straightend it by not having tension to wobble?

Was the wobble due to a bent pulley or the shaft having play? If it was shaft play, then having a tight belt might keep it from wobbling, but will certainly cause further damage in the future.

Sounds like your missing some bolts in your pully?(wobbleing)Tightening a belt will not straighten a bent pully,it will staighten a LOOSE pully though.JMO

It had to do with the pulley itself being tweaked because a piece of the fan hit it when it broke. The shaft is as straight as it ever was and has no play. I just checked right now and the pulley is secure. it does still have a slight wobble though, 1/4" worth of wobble room at the most. Would it matter if I just run it like that? like I said its just the pulley itself, not the shaft.
