Go semi-gloss with the 1/4 stripe or keep it factory glossy?

When I paint my 70 Swinger, Im going with the V21 code on the hood. Ive been tossing back and forth between making the 1/4 stripe semi-gloss as well(extra $$ from Phoenix) for a nice match to the hood and go wing, or just going with the factory glossy black.
Any opinions out there FABO?

Aren't all the bumble bee tape stripes a semi gloss from the factory?

The aftermarket is selling other things than factory these days, like 70 Cuda hockey stick stripes innother colors but black. And those white gauge face decals, that are terrible.

Well I wouldnt call the stripes a "full" gloss cause they arent as shiny as the clearcoat, but I dont think they would qualify as a semi-gloss

I've never seen even a semi gloss blackout hood treatment from the factory. I thought they were all flat and textured. Organisol.
Thats true, but Im not trying to duplicate the exact factory appearance, the PPG Hot Rod Black that I am going with looks really good for this type of application. I may be off on calling it semi-gloss because it is more of a flat finish in my books.
