I have a bunch of early A wiper arms with the 13 in blades. Some of the arms and blades are shiny.; some are satin. Question of the day is when was the change from shiny to satin or was it dependent on the assembly plant or dependent on the model (high end vehicles got the shiny ones and low end got the satin ones) or some either reason?

And let me clarify my post - these wiper arms would only fit 65 or 66 with this mounting

And not the 64/earlier

Satin finish wipers started for the 1967 model year.

NHTSA new law came in with mandatory items, seat belts, dash pad, reverse lamps, collapsing steering column. Non glare dash and column.

And free return slot on throttle pressure linkage mounted on the engine instead of firewall was along there too.

So did the 65/66 A’s all have the shiny wiper arms? The satin ones I have are identical to the shiny one but in satin finish. Were they late 66s or aftermarket to retro fit to earlier wipers?
