This block was fully Competition Prepared
for Stock/Superstock

It is Decked/ Alignbore Checked and done if needed
Bored with block plated Installed
It is Filled = so it can NOT be used in a street car
It was prepared for me by the legendary Steve Wann.
It has all the modifications and operations that make his
engines the fastest in the Country.

It has been Sonic tested and was the thickest and best
for core shift out of ten blocks tested!!
I have several Standard Bore Virgin 340 Blocks that also sonic tested
well and would be suitable for Street or Strip.
Your Choice $1,250.00 each.
One cylinder was not as good for core shift so it was sleeved
It is honed for Moly rings and is .060 over. and thick enough
to go definitely more over whenever needed.
It is ready to go!
Clean and painted

It had about about 20 to 30 passes on it before I went to a race block when they
became sort of legal.
It is freshly honed again which is a good idea after a few passes and everything
is broken in and takes a final set!
In my stock 340 E/SA (Stock cam/Thermoquad/Compression/Heads it
ran 10.60 @123 MPH at 3350 Lbs. and was one of the fastest 340 cars
in the country.
$1,500.00
Machine work cost way more than that alone!!

If you want a deal + I have a set of Forged Stock Compression Coated
(Calc. 11.8 to 1 with 63cc Heads/.028 gasket)
.060 Pistons and 340 Rods with the Forged balanced lightnened Crankshaft
(needs at least polishing on one journal)
$750.00 Only with the block.

I can supply any needed small parts to finish it.

This is 1/2 of what I have in it just to get work done.
It was one of fastest 340's in the country in NHRA Stock.
I went thru a bunch of blocks to find one this good for thickness.
It is ready to go.
Just the rules changed to allow Aftermarket Blocks (They do not pay attention
anymore)

Hello GTX John,
That looks like a beautiful engine and it sounds life give been around this stuff fur awhile. I have a 69 GTS that I took apart, as a dumb kid, 45 years ago. I'm in the early stages of collecting all the parts to figure out what I need for the restoration back to stock. I found I'm missing a head and intake manifold. I'm wondering I'm all your parts, if you would have a set of X heads and the stock intake manifold that you'd consider selling?
Thanks,
Dave

Yes.
However, the only set I have left (I think) have only
had only one Valve Job and the seats are high and never run
on Unleaded gas. they have been in the shop for 40 years
and would be great to prepare for a stock eliminator race car.
The are a expensive set of heads = $750.00
If I could find a core set that need guides/seats or had been modified
they would be much cheaper. A uncut mint intake would be $100.

The block in this ad is a race piece only not street because of it being
filled.

Good Morning John!
Thanks for getting back to me.
If the heads are factory stock, I'm very interested! I am going to do a total restoration and I'm not looking for anything modified. And, if you do have a stock manifold, I'm interested in that as well!
Where are you located?
I'm in Champaign, IL.
Thanks,
Dave
