Rack and pinion steering

It has been done, try doing a quick search for it. That or you could always just order a RMS front end kit and Rack and pinion come with it.

Keep us posted on your car and steering system. Maybe some more pictures (close up's)

I`ve done it on my 1968 Valiant 408 smallblock. Ran 9.844 sec @ 134.4 mph and steering was absolutely fine ( kept in it after the gate, got up to approx 150 mph to give the steering a real good test )

Rack is a shortened left hand drive 1960`s Morris Minor rack and pinion, using a double Borgsson joint ( Summit racing ) on the steering colomn. Still using a standard k frame and standard engine mounts. Standard torsion bars remain in place with custom made bracet supported from both chassis rails sitting behind back of Milodon sump.
Ball joints removed and new drag links made

With some basic careful fabrication you should be able to make any manual rack fit

Good luck !!

Good luck with that, I tried to do that myself first using a Mustang 2 rack but I couldn`t get it to work properly due to the rack being in front of the wheels and the steering colomn being too long overall as a result.

Went for a set up behind the wheels in the end ( pusher v`s puller )

I am also using standard Mopar LCA + UCA`s which restricts me more than your build

not for street use.
