This might sound kind of crazy but can you remove the radio components behind the dash but still keep the front bezel? I was wondering because the radio components are so bulky behind the dash. Also, I still want to keep the stock look by keeping the front bezel on. Is this possible? Thanks

Is it just the 2 bolts in the braket at the back of the radio on the passenger side that hold it in?

.... the nuts under the tuner and volume knobs and the bracket in the back. Don't forget to unplug the antenna, power and speaker wires!

Any tips or steps to removing the stock radio?
Nuts are off the knobs and it's floating free but think I have to remove ashtray and air ducts below. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Yep the ash tray and hanger need to come out. If you have a/c duscts underneath that needs to come out too.
That vent assembly has 2 nuts installed from the bottom up. Deep well socket 7/16 or 1/2 I forget. It probably has a couple of small screws attaching it to the main plenum also.
Your turn signal flasher is probably mounted on the right side of the ash tray hanger, either in a netal clip holder or 1/4 turn to get to off when its attached directly ( varries with year model ).
Hope this helps.
