When I was running this little beasty from 1978 to 1995 I dreamed of one day having a Herman Lewis 401 in it.

He was a unique character and a friend,
I traveled many times to Beckly WV
Where he lived , he died several years ago.
He mentioned donating his car to a museum up in TN near Dolly Wood.

Drag racing and F1 both tried those super low profile tires with no success. So the tire manufacturers loose the crappy technology on the public

I remember the old Super Stock and Drag Illustrated magazine did an article on Herman and it showed a picture of two AMX factory super stocks in his shop. I thought to myself if I could ever visit his shop I would have died and gone to heaven!
