When here comes the old semi retired irritating

ON EASTER FRIGGIN SUNDAY

the PARKING ENFORCEMENT GUY

and he says "I hate to rain on your parade but..........."

and I says to him

"I could 'ha SWORE the sign was down" (and I KNEW for sure it WAS down, TOO!!"

So I started the pickup up and LEFT.

Last I saw of the old bastard he was walkin over to the entrance to set the sign up!!!

ON EASTER FRIGGIN SUNDAY

well, they gotta pay for that beautiful city somehow. lol

I'm a little dense I guess....what did the sign say ?

It's a huge heavy sign on a wheel. at the entrance. It talks about having to pay "at the box" in the parking lot. There are no meters. What this means is, "if you are new in town" unless you happen to notice the pay box, you might not notice this is a pay lot or that it is during pay hours. The sign was layed down on it's face, a common practice when not active.

The point? Really? Paying to park in a PUBLIC city parking area on a Sunday is bad enough, but something like Easter, I think is a much of a stretch. The downtown meters are not active.
