Rear gear recommendation for highway.....

-
I am rocking a 318 with a pretty big cam in my 73 Dart Sport, been driving it daily this summer. 904 w/a 3500 tci convertor, 3.23's and 27" tires out back. 3k rpm at 65, it works great for the straight open back roads around here. Best I have gotten is 15.9mpg, but I usually get 13-14 with my heavy foot, gas is cheap right now. :D

I like my 2.76's. I turn just under 2100 rpm's at 55 mph.

I currently have 2.76's in my Chrysler Cordoba, it is fantastic on the highway. 1st gear can break the speed limit, 2nd gear can get you in trouble, and well 3rd, yea it likes the wide open back roads.

..depends on your cam, your cruise speed should be at your maximum
or most efficient lo speed torque. If your cam is much over stock 2.76
will be terrible on mileage.
without knowing your cam, best highway gear ... 2.94, best all round gear 3.23
