Hi to ALL,

well i have been doing a lot of things to the old Dart, 1970 Dart Swinger 2 door, in the way of getting it back to road worthy. getting there and about to be drivable, well regularly anyways. this being said i have had an idea to get a stripe to add to the rear of the car. i would like to see if anyone has a good source, for this as well as i have a few questions.

1. are the only split stripe for earlier Swingers? see pic for reference.
2. if so is the light placement already cut out? once again see pc for reference

i like the look of this one and would like to see if it is possible to put on the later year. i know the marker light is in a different place so if the light wasn't cut out it may work for me....just a thought

Here's my 70 Dart stripe. Notice the angles. I don't think a 68-69 stripe would work on a 70 without a lot of modification. Mine is 3M brand, you can get them from most any Mopar supplier.

Must say. Very nice car.

I do understand the differences in the year striping. I like the old way but want it on the newer year. Question really is does anyone know where to get one made for newer year that looks like the old. I like the split with the Dart and Swinger relief. I’m thinking it will be a special thing to have made. Thanks All.

Worked at a place that had our own graffix shop. Took a pic of my Dulley Pick up and made an AAR strobe stripe to fit it . All by computer. See it before they actually make it !

@PhoenixGraphix is now on this forum. Nobody knows more about Mopar Graphics than they do.

I don't know about the Darts but on other cars the marker was not cutout on the decal. After the decal was installed they would cut an X through the opening and fold the pieces in then install the marker.

CAST AUTOMOTIVE GRADE VINYL IS MOST IMPORTANT. I AM NOT SURE IF A SIGN SHOP WILL CARRY THIS AS IT IS MANY TIMES MORE EXPENSEIVE THAN CALENDERED VINYL THAT IS TYPICALLY USED.

BE AWARE 3M AND ALL THE VINYL MANUFACTURERS HAVE GRADES OF VINYL JUST BECAUSE IT SAYS 3M, DOESN'T MEAN IT IS GOING TO BE A GOOD VINYL.

Many people make the mistake of buying decals cheaper on sites that are using sign shop vinyl and they will melt into your vehicle once they crack and you will have to try and get them off in the future by soda blasting them off.

Everyone have a great week end.
