Hey guys, looking for the 20 or so clips that hold the chrome trim around the rear window of a '69 Valiant, the set they sell for a Dart are not the same, those are longer by 1/8" or so.
Also need the grille hardware, it is not offered from anyone, I have nothing to gauge from since my grille was on the front seat when I got this car. I tried Laysons, R/T Spec., MR. Moparts, YearOne and others.

For what its worth... I had a similar issue several years ago. The reveal molding clips offered by ebay sellers at that time ( atleast 6 years ago ) were a bit too tall for my B'cuda. I used a small pair of vise grips and the bench grinder to correct them. I didn't take a full 1/8 off their bottoms though, 3/32 is closer. That worked for me.
I have read that RT Specialties among others do now offer the correct low profile clips in a rear window package but I can't testify.
I do know they put 4 short clips in a front windshield package ( those for the A-pillars ) so why wouldn't they offer them for all around the rear windows?

Thanks, I had checked into grinding these, but by the time they were short enough, the piece that holds the trim was gone. The sales guy at Mr. moparts is looking at what he has, I sent him pics of the one original clip I had for him to compare, the Valiant seems to b e the red headed step child of restoration parts, lol.

I removed material from the bottom. It didn't effect how they mount or hold the trim. Maybe someone else with a 69 Valiant will chime in. Good luck
