Remember Testor's model car paint that came in little square bottles and little spray can? Here's the Testor's factory today. (Pulled off Facebook.)

I would get my allowance on Saturday mornings and head down to Tresslar's 5 & 10 Cent Store to buy those little paint bottles for .29 cents.

I still have Pactra paints in the drawer but I don't think they're any good. They came in plastic bottles instead of glass and it seems like they've interacted with the paint over the years. I tried to mix a bottle for the airbrush and it just didn't work-thick and gummy and just wouldn't blend. I saved them for nostalgia's sake but I doubt I'll ever use any of it.

I was just at Michael's and was surprised they still had a decent stock of Testor's products.

Solvent based paint in general is "non-grata" and almost every retailer is phasing it out in favor of water based products.

I use paint pens at work to put ID/SN tags on ipads and VHF radios.
The last time I needed one it was all hell to find a store that still had the color and tip style I needed.

Michael's had a whole isle of "pens" but only the last 5' was "paint" pens and about 1/3 of the rows were empty.

I had so many of those bottles. I actually used a nutcracker to open them!
