I am going to change the intake and carb on the 340 in my duster. At the same time , i was going to install a factory set of 273 adjustable rockers. Can anyone give me some pointers? I am thinking that i will have to buy a set of hyd. pusrods for adjustable rockers, but i have the 273 pusrods that came with the adjustable rokers, but they may be to long due to the 273 being mechanical cam. I was also wondering how to adjust the rockers oncce i get them installed. I f anyone is running a set up like this would you please let me know the best way to pull this off?
Thanks in advance, Matt

one thing to look at is the adjusters...the original adjuster were an interference type adjuster....

you might want to look into new adjusters with jam nuts...if you don have them already installed..

to adjust hydraulic cams....i adjusted might by following the mopar chart for solid lifter cams..and just going to zero lash and then set the preload by turning the adjuster 3/4 of a turn...

Your right Matt. The pushrods you have will be too long as the hydraulics are shorter. Here's a pic of a valve lash adjustment chart.

Oh yeah. Tony has a good suggestion. those stock adjusters are junk. They back off on their own causing you to have to adjust the valves allot more than normal. Crane sells replacement ones that use a locknut to hold them tight.
