I might be doing some engine work on my 1973 225 this coming winter, and I was thinking of putting a new harmonic damper on. Simply because the 52 year old rubber in the one I have now probably isn't in good shape and not damping as it was originally intended to.

What dampers will fit my Slant? A big block unit? Then there's the whole issue of timing marks, but if I am doing the engine work, I'll have a dial plunger micrometer and degree wheel anyway, so I can properly measure and mark the new one with a Mopar timing tape.

And if you want an SFI rated single groove unit, there's Romac.

Charlie beat me to it. I've dealt with both. Reasonable and quick turnaround. They'll rebuild yours

Interesting 2nd link. It shows that both Ford and Chevy 6 cylinder engines also had a damper with integral fan-belt pulley like the slant-six. Best way to squeeze a straight-six into an engine bay. I wonder if either also had the AC-pulley that bolted to the aft side of the damper pulley, with a large center hole to fit over the timing cover snout (at least true in earlier slants).
