      That price is ridiculous. Made in China and 225$.

        I supplied the pan for Vans Auto to reproduce, Mancini probably buys them off of Vans as they sell them for $200. I can always sell you an original for $500 if you want. Just what do you think they should be priced at?

        If you want cheap, you can always get a Nova or Galaxy...

        :poke:

        Edit;
        Didn't the Roadkill guys do an episode where they got a Galaxy Wagon?

          An original 893 is worth $500?

          10 years ago I sold them for $600 when there were very few available. The 893 is the only pan that was made for the factory big block A-Body's which only about 6000 cars made between 1967-1969. I had them made so they could become affordable, so $200-225 is still cheap. Sure you can use other pans, but for someone restoring these cars the 893 is what you need. They have baffles exclusive to the big block A-Body also.

            I wish they held another quart and still looked factory.

            Yeah another quart would be nice but Mancini has some other pans that will work. It would be nice to have a Hemi pan with the idler arm notch. I think a pan like that would be the perfect pan for big block A body cars.

              I think it's a good price for the pan as long as it fits perfect.

              I used the Mancini 547 pan on my Duster. It is advertised as a 6 quart pan with the idler notch. In my K frame I could've used a little larger sump for more capacity. I think a person could design a 7 qt pan that looked stock, fit the K frame and had the idler notch. I'd rather see someone design a pan like that than reproduce low capacity factory pans.

                Considering they're more than likely made in china for .30. Do you think 200$ is a good price? I enjoy capitalism like everyone else but this is rape, i dont like rape. Maybe purists like rape? Inquiring minds want to know.

                  I got one and the pickup for cheap $275 Years ago compared to what was being offered. The piece is as good as the original and killed all the folks selling the c-body junk at inflated prices!

                  Baffles are correct and the pan is solid on the rail! Pre corona virus good!

                    Compared to a quote for 1k for an original used 893 with dings or $500 for C body bent crap with no baffles. This is a no brainer! Quality is very good IMO! Sorry but some folks have been ridiculous in their pricing and trying to rape us for substandard crap just cause we had little choice. Guess that is why my car has a 7.5 quart Moroso pan with a slight rub. On next rebuild the 893 will go on and be closer to correct!

                    If I just can find and original Mopar RR HP 383 cam grind DC stopped producing I would yank the motor out and do the next step and drop the 509/292.

                    Some C bodies had a pan that works in A-Body big block.

                    From 440 Source:
                    Shown above is our original factory USED "187" oil pan, Chrysler part number 2532186. See the table at the bottom of this page for exact applications, but in general, this pan was used from 1965-71 on "C" body cars with 383's and 440's. These make a great pan for swapping big block's into "A" bodies because of the notch for suspension clearance.
