I just put on 14" slots that have a 3 1/2 backspace.

I did'nt think anything of it, everything is wonderful. BUT I had the car up in the air and I noticed how hard the tires were to spin by hand. I still didn't think much of it, I just thought something was just tight. Well, then I notice that the calipers are rubbing on the rim! Barely... but enough that it makes the tires hard to turn by hand. I've been driving it like this for about a week, and it seemed fine, I never even realized the calipers were that tight.

What can I do, should I do, or don't do??

Thanks!

you could get a set of wheel spacers to raise your backspacing. Probaly the most cost effective easy solution.

I also noticed that the weights to balace the rims ripped off too! piss me off!

You can grind the calipers down some but only an engineer can say what is structurely too much.
If this is a floating caliper and you grind to minimal clearence with worn pads, the rub will return when new pads are installed.
Good luck

I had this trouble with Cragars on the front of my car. Just a 1/8 inch spacer solved the problem. Summit or Jegs has them.
