Robin Trower Band - unknown, forgotten?

aye. I would never say anything negative about Hendrix he was an innovator the other jimmy held to the same accord as is SRV, Tony Iommi. You can not discount the influence these guys had on inspiring people to play guitar. To me there are many awesome axe players known and to be found. A lot of the composition of the music afford(ed) some to the forefront more than others. Some play technical and other play from the heart.
Every so called "Poseur" drew inspiration from others style and developed their own from others. Look at people like Django Reinhardt, Robert Johnson Chet Atkins et.al. Couldn't one say SRV was a poseur by playing Hendrix covers? Not I. I would say Hendrix was an influence on style on Vaughn own style. Me I love it all!!

@teetee......Maybe my candle reference was a little strong. I never said i hated Hendrix, i just prefer Trower.......Now if i said i hated purple Dusters, well them there's fightin' words......

Btw, Watchtower and HeyJoe are two of my favorite songs :thumbrig:.

big fan. listened to trower for years, finally saw him play at the penny arcade in rochester ny [my hometown]. maybe 50 people and myself. it's in rotation on my ipod.

Saw Trower at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.. Yeah, I'm old.
