rocker shaft position

Could anyone help me to figure out this rocker shafter position?

This rip goes "upside" or "downside"?

The notch at the end of the shaft should face down.

notches goes down and towards your left..

driver side....down and toward from of car...your left

pass side...down and towards firewall....your left
