***RPM Parts in Saskatoon...anyone buy from them!!!***

You are going to pay shipping either way. If you can get a US supplier to use USPS (mail) then that is your best bet.

i realize that, but big stuff shipped from the US, and US suppliers that won't ship USPS, tends to get a bit expensive. I'm just trying to find the cheapest way to get the parts I need.

Let us know how ya make out.

Well, I phoned 'em this morning and got the "We have a new catalogue coming next month, so....." Ok, so I gave him my VISA # for the catalogue and , I guess, now I wait.

While I had him on the phone ,I asked about one of parts I need for my Dart 'vert. I asked about a "Window Felt set" for the '67. He said $115/set and $25 shipping...comparing that to a US supplier on ebay who wants $105/set and $30 shipping....kind of a wash.

$25 in shipping sounds like he is marking up the shipping to me. I got no problem spending a little more if its closer, but for him to mark up shipping...nosso much. Shouldnt be that big of a box would it??

I would question him on his return policy and see if you still have a warm and fuzzy feeling about dealing with him. They didn't have return numbers and I never did get a refund after shipping the part back.

I hear ya, Steve. Should be a pretty small box...3" x 3" x (maybe) 3' long and weigh 5 pounds, if that??? I'm going to the Portland (Ore.) Swap Meet in April and will be ordering some big stuff to be delivered to my holding place in Blaine WA, and with free shipping in the US on most of the stuff, I think I'll go that way instead. Will be gone 4+ days, so I can bring back $800 duty free.

Edit: Just did a quote through canadapost.ca and found $14.08 all-in for a 3 x 3 x 36" parcel ,regular post....hmmm.

Not sure I'd say I have a "warm & fuzzy" feeling for him, or his operation.

Ya, if you want to mark the product up even a little more and not mark up the shipping, Im all for that. Plus with what 1MeanA has to say........hey maybe its worth spending a little???($25) as a "trial/test" run????
