I did a magnum swap and installed an older but new Classic Air universal kit. I wanted to keep the serpentine belt so I picked up a newer style compressor from the junkyard that was on a late model Ram with a magnum. The kit compressor has a one wire connection but the one from the junkyard has 2 (one red and one black with what looks like a diode between the 2). Is the red hot and the black a ground? What is the diode there for? This is the last piece of the puzzle if anyone can help.
