Using that coupler will eliminate the ability of the steering column to telescope with the body flex. Supposedly causing the column to destroy itself. At least that's what E booger says in Mopar Action.


I'm not buying that, the shaft is still splined on one side, and welded on the other. People have been doing this swap for years with no negative results that I've heard of. The factory style coupling device is garbage, and is also very prone to failure, I've seen them fail and it's not pretty!
