I went to pick up a Pontiac Sunfire today, and when I got to the woman's house, she asked if we take any scrap metal (I work at a steel salvage yard, but we get a lot of cars/trucks in too). I told her we take any kind, and she said 'Well, I've got these old junk trucks you could take away.' So we walked over, and one was an early 80's Ford F350, but the other was a '68 or '69 Fargo W100 Power Wagon! I told her I have a Fargo at home, and she said 'Well normally I would ask for some money for something like this, but since you have one, you can have it for free.' (Super nice lady btw).. So I was pretty stoked on free.

It's got an 8 3/4 with 4.10's, a 318, 4 speed. Decent winch up front, and decent interior. A bit of rot from sitting but pretty cool truck.

What it looked like when I found it..

After I got it back to the yard. You can see my 66 W300 in the background.

That's AWESOME great score!!!!!! What are your plans for it?

Tuesday I'm going back to move the F350 for her, then I'll ask if she has the papers for it.
Then try to get it running. Not sure yet if I want to use it for parts, or drive it around. I'd rather not part it, but it's a little rougher in real then it is in the pics.

I saw those blackberries and new it HAD to be from the Northwest. :) Nice find!

Those blackberries weren't much fun. Neither were the thousand spiders I had to deal with.
But the guy I took with me got stung in the back of his head by bees. So I think I got the better deal.

I am always amazed to how many Mopars are in Canada....

Nice, you can never have too many Fargos :D

Did she have the papers for it?

Didn't ask, but I'm sure she has them somewhere.

Clutch pedal is stuck to the floor, so something is going on there..

It would be worth getting them unless you're just parting it out. Certainly looks worthy of saving from the pics. My TR3 has a similar clutch issue, pedal isn't stuck but it's seized at the bottom so it isn't doing anything. My son's pulling the running gear out of it soon and will probably see what's up with the clutch at that point. I'd guess the slave cylinder is seized.

Ya, the more I look at it, the more I want to save it. At least get it running and driving, and bomb around town in it covered in moss.
And no slave cylinder.. All linkage.

I hate spiders and it looks like there was quite a colony in that cab..... but what would be cool is if you could get it fired back up and go back and haul the other truck away with it!!
