Seat belt issue

Anybody know an easier way to get this new(to me) belt through molded plastic guide? The curve is so crazy near the buckle and I can't figure how to get the metal clip on the bottom of the belt through the twist. How did the factory do it? Any suggestions?

Feed a thin cord through the plastic.
Loop it through the clasp of the belt mount
Pull it back through the plastic

Heating the plastic in hot to boiling water will soften it a bit making it easier.

Then pull the cord out of the plastic pulling the belt in be sure the belt is in the proper orientation

^^Yup.
I use a length of mechanic's wire (or coathanger), but the idea is the same.
