Looking for what I need to do a Power to manual steering box swap.

Also looking for an A518 46RE transmission w/ lockup Converter. Good or bad, just needs to be rebuild-able.

These are needed for a 1965 A-body Barracuda :-)
Thanks

Hi,
Are you sure you want an A 518 RE and not an A 518 RF? I ask, because the RE has to be computer controlled, so that will require you to use the magnum v8 computer on your engine? You probably already knew that, but I just wanted to make sure.

I got a complete 42RH converter and all for 125 out of the wrecking yard and was guaranteed to be in working order.
Anything like that possible where you are?

That's a good point about the computer also.

How much HP are you thinking to put through it?
The 904 version (42RH) comes out of a truck that weighs a thousand pounds more than our cars and has 6k tow rating so they can stand up to a pretty quick car as well and also not need a computer.

I'll be running it behind a 99 magnum 5.9 using a 97 OBD2 harness rebuilt by Magnum Mopar and computer tuned by Flyin Ryan. I had Even at Magnum mopar leave the auto pig tails for the 518 RE trans... Just in case I locate one...

The 42RH in mine is behind a 96 mild built cammed 5.9, carbbed with pressure switches for automatic control of the electrics for OD and lockup.
Sounds like you already have a definite plan, and I was just curious.
