I just watched an interesting uncle Tony's garage episode. I don't have a way to upload it but it's very interesting & has to do with our industry, performance, modifications, motor sports.
You can also check it out on sema's website

Yup.. law is written that makes ANY modification to any vehicle originally designed for road use illegal. Even if it's used for competition. But this was attempted last year? Or year before and was shut down because the wording was so vague it basically would destroy a multi billion dollar industry.

I always urge people to read the new laws trying to be passed. They really are pushing to control every little thing. It sucks.

It is meant for pollution controlled vehicles, thanks to these guys "rollin coal" with their diesels. (But I get why they do it, as a middle finger to those "I'm woke" types)
So our pre 73 cars ? Are safe so far.
But there is 1 way to halt this....
All stand together & fight em back.
Hell I just watched a few different videos of boats shooting a roost onto the shore to put out brush fires, or jet ski putting out a boat fire.
People organize to get what they want so how about us ?

Honestly, this sucks for us younger guys getting into cars. all they are doing is discouraging young kids from getting into the lifestyle. It was bad enough when they made the exhaust noise law in Commiefornia...(94db limit) I thought they did something about side pipes relating to "pedestrian safety" a few years ago but I am not too sure about that one. We all know that this EPA bullshit will not pass through to law; but if it did, would anyone even enforce it? I know many cops around me that have muscle cars and occasionally race them when they have a day off. Hell, I had a buddy of mine do a burnout in front of a cop in his '71 mach one, and the cop just gave him a thumbs up. Honestly, I don't even know what the government is doing anymore, I really think they know nothing about economy. Does killing a billion dollar industry sound like a good financial decision?

A. Yes
B. No
C. Hell No
D. :wtf:

I got a link to the website and signed a letter to my states congress people.. got a response from one saying thanks for my concern and she will take my position into consideration probably a form letter but at least it went thru. Now if we could get SEMA and congressional reps to help save ATCO Raceway it would be really great!

My states governor is inslee, climate lunatic, last letter I got from my congressbitch was something like "we must impeach" yeah without any evidence.
Washington is mostly red counties so maybe it will be a county by county thing.

The RPM act though is a GOOD THING. It's the answer to all this banning bullshit. We need to get onboard with it.

Because this only pertains to race only vehicles, I would be concerned about helping to pass this. Would the Government, and SEMA/auto lobbyist's, bargain any future legislation aimed at modified street driven vehicles, by saying "Look everyone, you got the RPM act already, so here's how this new regulation is going to go down" ? Would the casual observor/voter/elected official think that the industry has RPM and a racetrack, that should be good enough ? OR, am I thinking wrong (paranoid) and we should fight our asses off for this AND every subsequent related legislation ? But you know in politics it's always give and take.
